Haitham Mohammed Asiri gave his side a 43rd minute lead. However, Hisham Al Dubais equalised in the 60th minute for the hosts.

Al Ahli have become experts at scoring late goals, though, with Ryad Boudebouz converting a penalty after 72 minutes and Hicham Faik making the points safe in the 79th minute.

Al Ahli now sit on 62 points atop the log, three clear of second-placed Al Akhdood who have played one game less. Mosimane’s side are 18 points clear of Al-Faisaly, who have two games in hand, in the non-promotion spot – needing just one more win to secure the club’s return to the top tier of Saudi football.

Al Ahli’s promotion will be confirmed on Wednesday should Al-Faisaly fail to beat Ohod Club. Overall, Mosimane’s Al Ahli Saudi have picked up 15 wins, seven draws and just two defeats since Jingles took over.
