Manchester United are willing to do everything to stop their rivals Manchesty City from winning the FA Cup.

The two Manchester clubs face off in the final on 3 June.

Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag said his team would “give everything” to prevent City from achieving treble.

United won 7-6 on penalties at Wembley on Sunday against Brighton after the game finished goalless.

“First we are physical, strong, we are mentally strong, so we showed the character and personality necessary… we were determined to win this game,” he said.

The Red Devils have had a mixed bag of results lately.

“What we have proved is that we can deal with setbacks, we can bounce back between games,” he said.

“But now what we have to improve is to bounce back in a game in difficult situations or occasions, away stadiums – it doesn’t matter what, we have to show personality.”

Manchester United have already won the Carabao Cup this season

City, on the other hand, are on course to win the League, FA Cup, and Champions League.

In the league, they have Arsenal to contest with while Real Madrid awaits them in the Champions League. If they do the unthinkable and end up winning the treble, they’ll become only the second team in England to do so.

United remain the only English club to have won a treble

They did a treble under former manager Alex Ferguson in 1999.
