Pitso Mosimane: A look at EVERY trophy SA’s greatest manager has won

South African football coach Pitso Mosimane has had stints at eight different teams across his 28-year career. We look at his trophy record.

Pitso Mosimane is the current coach of Al-Wahda FC in the United Arab Emirates, but the 59-year-old is well-known in Africa for his success at Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Alhly where he won two CAF Champions League trophies.

The highly-decorated South African was born in Kagiso, Gauteng and played professionally for Jomo Cosmos, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates from 1982 to 1989. He had stints in Europe at Greek club Ionikos Nikeas and Belgian side FC Rita Belaar in the mid 90s.

PITSO MOSIMANE WAS APPOINTED SUPERSPORT UNITED’S MANAGER IN 2001

Pitso Mosimane was in charge of Pretoria-based Supersport United in the PSL from 2001 to 2007. He then took up the role at caretaker manager for the South African national team, known as Bafana Bafana, according to Sportsmob.

Mosimane was promoted to assistant manager and then took up the top job of the national team in 2010. After two years with Bafana Bafana, the UEFA Pro License holder moved back to club football with Mamelodi Sundowns.

He won several league championships with Sundowns and enjoyed success on the continent.

Pitso Mosimane was then offered top jobs at Al Ahly in Egypt and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia. Take a look at all the accolades Pitso Mosimane has won:
