Mamelodi Sundowns‘ next African Football League (AFL) opponents have been confirmed as well as the dates for the semi-finals.

The Brazilians will face familiar foes Al Ahly in a two-legged semi-final after the Egyptian giants also advanced to the Last 4.

Sundowns booked their spot in the semi-finals of the African Football League with a 2-0 aggregate win over Petro de Luanda on Tuesday.

Al Ahly, on the other hand, advanced on an away-goal rule of 3-3 following a 1-1 draw at home against Simba SC on the same day.

Now, the two African giants will renew their rivalry in the first leg on 29 October – this will be Sundowns’ home game.

The return leg will then be played in Cairo on 1 November where the winners will book their place in the African Football League final.
