Mamelodi Sundowns are guaranteed a whopping R32 MILLION for reaching the semi-finals of the African Football League.

The Tshwane giants achieved this feat despite their Tuesday’s 0-0 draw at home to Petro de Luanda who they beat 2-0 on aggregate.

By virtue of accepting the invitation and honouring the fixture in Angola last week, Sundowns were guaranteed just over R19 million.

However, they will now get R32 million even if they are knocked out of the African Football League competition in the semi-finals.

Mamelodi Sundowns will face familiar foes Al Ahly in a two-legged semi-final after the Egyptian giants also advanced to the Last 4.

The two African giants will renew their rivalry in the first leg on 29 October – this will be Sundowns’ home game.
