Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Patrick Mabedi has shared an important piece of advice to AmaZulu bad boy Gabadinho Mhango, saying he must focus on his discipline.

The Malawi national team caretaker coach, Mabedi has called on one of his senior players, Mhango, saying he should take care of his career and off-the-field behaviour.

This comes after media reports that the former Orlando Pirates star Mhango that his behaviour might cost him a spot in the Durban-based AmaZulu.

MABEDI SHARES ADVICE TO AMAZULU BAD BOY MHANGO

The retired Chiefs skipper was addressing the media in Durban as his side was part of the COSAFA Cup tournament.

Mabedi said he will need all of his key players ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and Mhango must be disciplined as a footballer.

“Gabadinho is one of the most talented players, he has talent and works very hard whenever he gets a chance in the national team,” Mabedi told Isolezwe.

“His contribution is known and if the media reports are correct regarding his discipline off the field of play, then I must say it openly that he must try and behave better like a professional.

“The national team needs him and it’s very important he stops all the bad behaviour off the field of play.

“We will have important matches, the CAF Afcon qualifiers and the matches for the World Cup qualifiers. So, we need all the important players for the national team.”
