Following Brandon Petersen’s actions, Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo says he confronted a coach in the dressing room.

Khumalo says he confronted ex-Chiefs coach Jeff Butler but he didn’t do it in front of the public.

In his response to Petersen’s saga involving Cavin Johnson in the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates, the Chiefs legend weighs in.

Speaking on Soccer Zone, Khumalo says he once vented out at a former Chiefs coach in his playing days.

The Soweto giants lost the derby 3-2 to Pirates, and Petersen was seen having a go at Johnson on the touchline.

CHIEFS LEGEND: I ONCE CONFRONTED OUR COACH IN THE DRESSING ROOM

The legend nicknamed 16V, Khumalo, says he has seen such incidents happening in football, and he also did it.

While Johnson brushed off the ugly incident as just something normal in football, Khumalo has a different view.

“I needed to be honest and precise. I’ve seen such happening,” Chiefs legend Khumalo says via Soccer Zone.

“Myself, in the dressing room with Jeff Butler. In the dressing room, by the way, inside the dressing room.

“I didn’t want to do it in front of the supporters because the interpretation indicates a bad image.

“Where it happened, it’s different. And also the way it happened. It’s unlike the normal Kaizer Chiefs.

“Because if the coach feels that players can question, but can we do that in isolation, for us to interact, but that was not interacting.”

KHUMALO WEIGHS IN ON CHIEFS KEEPER AND COACH SAGA

The retired Chiefs fan darling and legend Khumalo adds such as gesture by a seemingly disgruntled Petersen, suggesting anger.

“The gesture, its anger, because there was throwing of hands. People are watching,” adds the ex-Chiefs star.

“And now the team is not doing well.

“Some speculations were there before this about division within the team.

“Now, this starts to escalate a lot of perception.

“But I’m not saying it’s exactly what is happening, but [it looks like] from where I’m seated.

“It’s only when it was on social media, then that’s where I was like, ‘What is going on here?’

“Then people explained to me.”
