Ex-Chiefs star reacts after playing 90 minutes for FCSB

New FCSB and former Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Ngezana reacts saying he is happy to finally play 90 minutes for the Romanian club.

Former Kaizer Chiefs star defender Siyabonga Ngezana is slowly making his mark in Europe with FCSB in Romania, he reacts by saying he is happy.

Ngezana left Chiefs just before the start of the current DStv Premiership season and finally made his debut for FCSB earlier this month.

The defender, Ngezana also nicknamed Tower, played his first 90 minutes for FCSB and he is now confident he will grow and get more regular game time.

EX-CHIEFS STAR REACTS AFTER PLAYING 90 MINUTES FOR FCSB

Since making his move to Romania’s FCSB, Ngezana struggled as he suffered a series of challenges that threatened to derail his progress.

Following the challenges, there were questions on his quality as The South African understands that even the team’s management questioned their decision.

As it was reported by this publication, Ngezana’s move caught many by surprise as he was dubbed one of Chiefs’ top performers last season under Arthur Zwane.

“I am happy that the team did not concede a goal. It is not easy to change the country, I needed time to adapt,” Ngezana said during an interview with Digi Sports per Phakaaathi.

“It was not easy for me to sit on the bench, but I thought my opportunity would come.”

EX-CHIEFS DEFENDER ON HIS DREAM TO PLAY IN EUROPE FOR FCSB

The lanky Bafana Bafana defender, Ngezana, however, remains positive he will strive and develop his game away from home.

He revealed that it has always been his dream to ply his trade overseas but admits it was not easy to settle down since leaving Chiefs.

“It’s not easy for me. It’s a dream for me to be able to play in Europe. I felt good,” he added.

Meanwhile, The South African also reported that FCSB president, Gigi Becali praised Ngezana as better than the Romanian national team captain and FCSB star Vlad Chiricheș!

“I was surprised to see that Ngezana is even better than Chiricheș. I was very impressed by Ngezana,” he told PlaySport as quoted by IdiskiTimes.

“He has strength, there’s nothing you can do about him. You pass him, he speeds up, he catches up and stops you. Ngezana, [Joyskim] Dawa, and a couple of central defenders will certainly remain [at the club].”
