Since leaving Manchester United under a dark cloud, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Saudi side Al Nassr on a breathtaking multi-billion rand per-year deal.

Ronaldo could apparently agreed a two-and-a-half year deal, as reported by Spanish newspaper outlet Marca, although it still remains to be seen whether this will in fact come to fruition.

Last month, Manchester United confirmed that Ronaldo will leave the club by mutual agreement, with Ronaldo stating that he felt “forced out” of the club, while also revealing that he has “no respect” for Ten Hag.

This is as a direct result of Ronaldo’s much-maligned interview with Piers Morgan, in which he lambasted Manchester United, Ten Hag, former teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville, Ralf Rangnick and the Glazer family.

The Portuguese international accused the club of betrayal and added that he believed that he was being forced out.

Ten Hag broke his silence briefly on the departure of Ronaldo as he looked ahead to the resumption of the English Premier League season.

“He (Ronaldo) is gone and it’s the past. We are now looking forward and we’re looking to the future,” he told MUTV.

RONALDO – ‘I LOVE MANCHESTER UNITED’

Many football pundits believe the 37-year-old has forever tarnished his legacy with the Red Devils.

“Following conversations with Manchester United we have mutually agreed to end our contract early,” Ronaldo said in his statement.

“I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge. I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future.”
