The most high-profile name on the list is that of goalkeeper David de Gea. The 32-year-old shot-stopper was a favourite a few seasons ago, but his mistakes in the past two seasons have seen him lose support from fans. (woodlees.com) He might leave United after his previous contract had a one-year extension clause, but the Red Devils declined to trigger due to concerns over his £375,000-a-week wages.

Man United this week announced that the defensive duo of Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe have been released. Jones was signed by former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011, but his time at the club was halted due to injuries.

The club confirmed that Midfielder Ethan Galbraith had been released alongside 20-year-old right-back Charlie Wellens and 22-year-old centre-back Di’Shon Bernard.

United have announced Mount as the new signing ahead of the 2023/24 season. The club is believed to be offloading 13 players this summer as they look to secure funds to buy top players.
