Starting on Saturday, 29 April the CAF U17 Cup of Nations will be held in Algeria. Here are the pools and fixtures for the 12 teams.

Starting on Saturday, 29 April the CAF U17 Cup of Nations will be held in Algeria. Here are the pools and fixtures for the 12 teams.

CAF U17 Cup of Nations groups

Group A:

  • Algeria (hosts)
  • Congo
  • Senegal
  • Somalia

Group B:

  • Morocco
  • Nigeria
  • South Africa
  • Zambia

Group C:

  • Burkina Faso
  • Cameroon
  • Mali
  • South Sudan

Competition Format

The competition will follow the traditional round robin format with each team in the pool playing the other three teams.

The top two teams in each pool will automatically proceed top the quarter finals. In addition the the top two third placed teams will also proceed to the round of eight. Quarters, semi’s are knock out round with the champions being crowned in the finals.

Saturday, 29 April:

  • Algeria v Somalia

Sunday, 30 April:

  • Senegal v Congo
  • Nigeria v Zambia
  • Morocco v South Africa

Monday, 1 May:

  • CAmeroon v South Sudan
  • Mali v Burkina Faso

Tuesday, 2 May:

  • Algeria v Senegal
  • Congo v Somalia

Wednesday, 3 May:

  • Nigeria v Morocco
  • South Africa v Zambia

Thursday, 4 May:

  • Cameroon v Mali
  • Burkina Faso v South Sudan

Friday, 5 May:

  • Congo v Algeria
  • Somalia v Senegal

Saturday, 6 May:

  • South Africa v Nigeria
  • Zambia v Morocco

Sunday, 7 May:

  • Burkina Faso v Cameroon
  • South Sudan v Mali

The knock out stages

The quarter-finals will be played on Wednesday, 10 and Thursday, 11 May. The same week the semi-finals will be played on Sunday, 14 May.

The 3rd place final will be held on Thursday, 18 May and the tournament will conclude with the final on Friday, 19 May at 21h00 CAT.
