Sundowns qualify for CAF Champions League quarter-finals

Mamelodi Sundowns are through to the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League following their 5-2 win over Al Ahly on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Marcelo Allende, Themba Zwane, Teboho Mokoena and Peter Shalulile (brace) were enough to see Sundowns ease past the defending champions.

As a result, Sundowns moved to 10 points on the Group B log, and that’s enough for them to continue playing in the CAF Champions League.

What’s left now, is for Sundowns to work on topping the group going into the final two matches of Group B.
