Al Ahly is a big team – Mosimane

“We come here with the hope and the belief of reaching the semifinals‚” Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane said in his pre-match press conference.

“The 2-0 lead is a slight advantage‚ but it doesn’t mean that much because I’ve been around in this place‚ I know the capabilities of Mamelodi Sundowns‚ that they are a strong team. For me, it is not to talk about the three coaches because I have big respect and high respect for the badge of Sundowns.

“I know the history, I know the culture of Sundowns, I’ve been long at Sundowns. I think the only two people who have been longer than me at Sundowns is Bra Alex and Trot Moloto, nobody else. I’m not going to focus on all those things; what is important is that I focus on my team and try to deliver the team to the semi-finals.

“It is a big responsibility for me, and it’s a big responsibility for the players and a big responsibility for 70 million people that follows the team. And the team is huge; there is a lot of expectations. I thought Mamelodi Sundowns is big until I went to the other side. And I found 70 million people, so the responsibility is huge.”
