Bongani Zungu reaches out to Bernard Parker via text
TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has confirmed that Bongani Zungu did reach out to veteran midfielder Bernard Parker via a text message.

TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has confirmed that Bongani Zungu did reach out to veteran midfielder Bernard Parker via a text message.

In an interview on Power Sport Extra with Masekepe Matsebane on Friday, Sukazi said Zungu apologised to Parker for injuring him.

The incident happened in a Carling Knockout Cup Last 16 match between Sundowns and TS Galaxy on Wednesday night.

Parker appeared to have lost control of the ball when Zungu dangerously challenged him and broke his leg in the process.

Zungu was shown a straight red card for the tackle, and while he protested it in disbelief, he appears to have come to his senses.

At the time, Zungu might not have been aware of how bad Parker was injured, but he probably watched the replay hence the apology.

THIS IS WHAT SUKAZI SAID ON BONGANI ZUNGU ISSUING AN APOLOGY TO PARKER
“Look, part of the message of support I received from Yogesh Singh is that Zungu has been corresponding with Parker somehow,” said Sukazi.
“And of course, it turns to be correct in that when I asetained from Parker, Zungu did drop him an inbox or message, saying I apologise on that particular message, but other than that, I haven’t heard from anybody beyond that,” concluded Sukazi.
