Bayern willing to let Mane go for less

The German giants bought Sadio Mane from Liverpool last year for around £30m but are willing to let him leave for way less than they paid.

Bayern Munich are prepared to let go of Senegalese striker Sadio Mane this summer according to reports.

The German giants bought the star from Liverpool in 2022 but are willing to let him leave for just £17m – less than half of his. It is believed the The Bavarians are looking to raise funds to buy Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

In April, Mane  was involved in an off-field bust-up with teammate Leroy Sane. The former Liverpool man reportedly punched Sane in the face following their UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City which ended in defeat. After the incident, Bayern suspended and fined the forward for his actions.

Mane and Bayern set to part-ways

It was reported that Leroy Sane’s lip was bleeding after the altercation and two had to be separated by teammates in the dressing room. Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel said then that the issue between the two was settled but with Mane set to leave, it looks like there may still be bad blood between the two former Premier League players.

Since his departure from the Reds, Mane has struggled to find his form in his first season in Germany scoring just seven goals in 25 appearance.

The Senegalese finding it difficult in Germany

For Liverpool, the Afcon winner scored 120 goals in 269 games during his six years at the club.

Mane helped the Reds to Champions League and Premier League glory and was one of Jurgen Klopps’s top performers alongside Roberto Firminho and Mohamed Salah in the front three.
