Banyana attacking midfielder Linda Motlhalo currently plies her trade in the NWSL with Racing Louisville after a switch from Scottish outfit Glasgow City. She’s also had stints with Swedish team Djurgarden and Chinese club Beijing BG Pheonix. To say she’s well-travelled is an understatement, but it all started in Randfontein. That’s where 25-year-old Linda earned herself the awesome nickname ‘Randfontein Ronaldinho.’

She has made 70 appearances for the national team and that number will only grow.

Strong Banyana Banyana contingent in Mexico

Thembi Kgatlana is leaving Racing Louisville after joining the MLS club in 2022 following stints with Benfica, Eibar and Atletico Madrid, among others. The well-travelled striker makes the switch to Tigres for a reported $275k transfer fee along with $25k in add-ons and 5% on any future sale. This is according to UnplayableZA on x via Bekki Morgan. It’s the second-biggest fee for an outgoing player in NWSL history. The 27-year-old will earn $550k a year, or R10 Million.

Kgatlana’s national team colleague Jermaine Seoposenwe plies her trade for Mexican outfit Monterrey, so we could see the pair strike up an exciting rivalry in Central America. Hilda Magaia and Sinoxolo Cesane are also playing their football in Mexico with Mazatlán Futbol Club Femenil. We will be watching the South African quartet closely.
