Domestic leagues around the world are currently on a two-week FIFA international break.

Bafana Bafana have two home friendlies lined up in the coming days as they return to action having last played in AFCON qualifiers in June of this year.

The South African national side will take on neighbours Namibia on Saturday, 9 September at 15:00 and three days later on Tuesday, 12 September will face DR Congo at 17:00.

The matches will form part of coach Hugo Broos’ preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast in January next year, and for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November.

Both matches will take place at the Orlando Stadium.

A look at the latest FIFA rankings shows that Bafana Bafana are currently ranked 63rd in the world with DR Congo in 69th place.

Namibia are ranked 114th.
