Broos names three Kaizer Chiefs players in Bafana squad.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has called in only three Kaizer Chiefs players in his preliminary squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Beligian mentor named an enlarged 44-member preliminary squad against Benin and Rwanda next month.

Kaizer Chiefs defender Hlanti returns to Bafana?

Bafana host Benin at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on the weekend of 17 to 19 November 2023 and then travel to Huye to face Rwanda on Tuesday 21 November 2023.

The team will go into camp at the University of Pretoria on Monday 13 November 2023 and travel to Durban on 16 November 2023. After playing Benin in the coastal city, they will travel to Rwanda on 19 November 2023 and return to South Africa on 22 November.

The preliminary squad will be trimmed to 23 players in the coming days when Broos announces his final list for the two matches.

The Belgian coach was under scrutiny after he left out Chiefs players for Bafana’s friendly games in September.
