Irked Broos lashes out at Rulani who’s a local Mourinho

Hugo Broos is spitting fire as he lashes out at Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena whom he says acts like Jose Mourinho.

Broos says the 36-year-old mentor pretends to be God as he didn’t have a chance to engage PSL coaches head of the AFCON tournament.

Broos is complaining about the lack of support from PSL clubs, telling Belgian media that if Bafana fails he will likely be on his way out – singles out Mokwena.

This comes on the eve of Bafana’s Group E AFCON opener against Mali on Tuesday night and Broos lashes out at Mokwena’s attitude.

After the clash against the Eagles of Mali, Bafana and Broos will turn their focus to the Brave Warriors of Namibia on Sunday and later meet  Tunisia on January 24.

“I tried four times to have a meeting with all the coaches of the Premier League, but I was boycotted by the league,” Broos was quoted as saying per MTNFootball.

“My letter was not even sent by the league to the clubs. You should know that there is a row between the League and the Football Association.

“As a result, I was denied entry to the Orlando Pirates stadium three times. Can you imagine that?”

BROOS ON SUNDOWNS BOSS MOKWENA’S ATTITUDE LIKE MOURINHO

The controversial Belgian manager, Broos adds that Mokwena criticised him for his player management skills.

“The coach of Sundowns, he is the local Mourinho. He has won a lot of trophies, he pretends to be God and everyone listens to what he says,” adds Broos.

“He criticised me because two of his players came back from the national team injured.

“[But] at one point he even had 11 injured players. The reason is simple: the schedule is too busy. I hope my players will not be exhausted before AFCON.

“I already know that if we fail, I will end up in the eye of the storm. But I don’t worry. With age, I have developed an elephant’s skin. I say it is already a small miracle that we qualified.”
