Bafana Bafana have often played their matches at FNB Stadium, but they will travel a few kilometers during the September FIFA break.

This may be because the Orlando Stadium isn’t as big as the FNB Stadium, and given the nature of the opponents and the little significance of the games, these matches may not attract too much crowd.

On 9 September, Bafana Bafana will host Namibia before welcoming the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the same venue three days later.

According to SAFA, the two matches will serve as preparation for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has his core already but he’s continued to widen his pool by including a few individuals who haven’t been getting the chance at national team level.

Last week, Broos announced a 36-man provisional squad for the two friendlies against Namibia and the DRC – the final 23-man Bafana Bafana squad will be announced TODAY at 12 noon.
