As 2024 edition of the Varsity Cup goes into the second half of the season season, take a look at today’s round five fixtures.

The second half of the 2024 Varsity Cup campaign starts today and there are a few mouthwatering clashes to mark the occasion.
With the top four — the Shimlas, Eagles, Ikeys and Maties — all scheduled to square off against the teams in the bottom half of the table —Wits, CUT, UJ and UWC — the results in this round will go a long way in determining the four semi-finalists.
UFS Shimlas lead the way with 17 points on the Varsity Cup log, followed by NWU Eagles and UCT Ikeys in second and third places, respectively, on 15 points. Maties round out the top four places on 13 points.
At the bottom of the log UWC (1 points) and UJ (3 points) remain winless.
