Springboks can bank more than R75-million with World Cup win
It’s believed that the Springboks will be in line for a massive payday if they can successfully claim the World Cup title.

The Springboks have finally entered match-day week as they head towards their opening World Cup game against Scotland this Sunday.

South Africa have been placed in what looks set to be one of the most competitive pools, with clashes against Romania (17 September), Ireland (23 September) and Tonga (1 October) set to follow on from the game against Scotland.
Even if the Springboks are to progress to the quarter-final stage, a fixture against either hosts France or world No 1 Ireland then lies in wait.
If South Africa can go all the way and defend their World Cup title, it will certainly be an incredible feat, while it’s notably reported that a ‘jackpot’ of more than R75-million is on offer if the Springboks can claim the Webb Ellis Cup for a fourth time.

Springboks ready for action
Springboks head coach Jacques Nienaber said the squad were looking forward to kicking off their 2023 campaign against Scotland in their opening match of the tournament on Sunday 10 September in Marseille, following a productive one-week training camp on the Mediterranean island.
“It feels surreal to be here. We’ve been working toward this goal for four years and we are now officially one week away from playing our first match. There’s a lot of excitement in the group and the team is completely aligned in terms of what we have to do if we want to be successful in France.”
