Power utility Eskom confirmed in an X post on Sunday that load shedding will continue to remain suspended until further notice.

Eskom confirmed that: “Loadshedding will remain suspended until further notice.

“After 18 consecutive days of no load-shedding, it will remain suspended until further notice. This positive development is attributed to the sustained availability of generation capacity and emergency reserves.

“The evening peak demand tonight is expected to reach 25 886MW.”

Eskom pleaded with the public to switch off non-essential appliances to reduce the demand, especially between 17:00 and 21:00.

Monday represents the 19th straight day of no load shedding in the country.

Any bets as to how long it will last… ?

The South African website will keep the public abreast of the latest developments when changes occur.
