Springboks Hooker Malcolm Marx was ruled out of the World Cup through injury.
Malcolm was one of the finest Hookers in the World Cup, and his experience was vital in the Springboks squad.
The news of his injury hits the Springboks fans with so much sadness as he tore his ACL.
The fans seemed sure how much losing him would shake the squad and reduce their chances of defending it..

Besides his pitch ability, Malcolm was among the few stars to have won the World Cup in 2019.
He was a pivotal figure to lead youngsters in defending the title.
WHAT MALCOLM MARX’S WORLD CUP INJURY MEAN TO THE SPRINGBOKS?
The squad went into the World Cup with few experienced hookers.
Only Malcolm, Mbonambi and Deon have established stars in that position.
Following Malcorm Marx’s injury, the Springboks coach seemed confident in the squad.

Even though Marx can not be replaced [perfectly, Jacques Nienaber seemed to have a solution.
“We have enough cover at hooker with Bongi and Deon in the squad, while Marco has also been training there and has been named on all our team sheets so far as a hooker option.” he said.
“We’ll assess our needs for the rest of the tournament and confirm who we are calling up as an additional player later this week.” he continued.
