Eben Etzebeth: ‘We’ll go down as greatest team in rugby history’
Eben Etzebeth had some things to say and he said it loudly and proudly after the Springboks’ clinched a record fourth Rugby World Cup title.

A lot was said in the aftermath of the Springboks’ remarkable Rugby World Cup campaign, which culminated in an unprecedented fourth Webb Ellis title. But check out what Eben Etzebeth told his teammates after their win.

The Springboks completed one of the greatest playoff runs in Rugby World Cup history when they edged France 29-28 in the quarter-finals, England 16-15 in the semi-finals and ultimately the All Blacks 12-11 in the final to retain the Webb Ellis Cup and their status as world champions.
Each of the Springboks’ thrilling one-point victories in the three playoff matches resonated with their millions of supporters, as social media was packed with celebratory videos of South Africans around the globe.

EBEN ETZEBETH GIVES SPRINGBOKS A HOT TAKE
As one of the leaders in the Springbok squad and as one of the the 23 playings members who’ve gone on to win back-to-back RWC winners medals, Eben Etzebeth was afforded an opportunity to address the team in the change room after the final.
“Against the odds, we took the opportunity,” he said. “You guys are special.”
“You go down as the greatest rugby team in the history of rugby,” Eben Etzebeth concluded.
