6. He represented the Pumas (2012-2015) and Lions (2014-2017) in his playing days in South Africa

7. De Klerk played over 100 matches for the Sale Sharks in England between 2017 and 2022

8. He currently plays his rugby for Yokohama Canon Eagles in Japan

9. De Klerk married long-time girlfriend Miné van Niekerk at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek in October 2022
