Eskom has confirmed that there will be NO load shedding in effect for the Springboks’ Rugby World Cup 2023 final against New Zealand on Saturday, 28 October.

In announcing their updated plan, Eskom confirmed that load shedding will remain suspended until 16:00 on Sunday.

The Springboks’ match against the All Blacks kicks off at 21:00 (SA time) on Saturday.

Eskom pleaded with the public to switch off non-essential appliances – in particular geysers and pool pumps – to reduce the demand, especially between 17:00 and 21:00.
