The South African Weather Service (SAWS) have issued an advisory warning for the Western Cape, with extreme heat that could last for days.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) have issued an advisory warning for the Western Cape, with extreme heat and weather conditions that might last for several days. Heat warnings have been issued for some Western Cape areas, where temperatures might be expected to soar into potentially dangerous conditions.

If you are in the Western Cape, the SAWS has cautioned against extreme temperatures. Strenuous exercise isn’t advised, and hydration is mentioned as one of the most important factors for what to do if you experience any symptoms.

Here’s more about some of the potential weather conditions expected for cape areas like George and Paarl.

Weather Advisory: SAWS warns the Western Cape

Western Cape residents have been issued a potential advisory warning for the next few days, as temperatures might soar into dangerous levels for most of this part of the country. Weather conditions could see temperatures rise to the point where dehydration is a serious concern – and protective measures like sunblock is advised.

According to the SAWS, weather conditions might see a rise in temperatures over the next couple of days.

Along with the warning for high temperatures, the advisory cautions people to be as responsible as possible if they’re exposed to any heightened temperatures.

Remember to hydrate during warm weather, and avoid any form of exercise that can place unnecessary strain on the body. Along with this, stay in the shade and avoid full sunlight!

Weather Advisory: Includes THESE areas

Some of the areas that might be affected by extreme temperatures includes George, Paarl, and Cape Town according to the WeatherSA advisory notice. Surrounding areas might also be affected, and the advisory warning has been issued for most of the Cape province.
