Zimbabwe Immigration Authorities did not beat around the bush in applying its laws after a SA musician was found in breach of the country’s migration laws.

ZIMBABWE SHOWS SA ARTIST THE BORDER GATE

South African musician Dr Malinga—real name Goodwill Malinga was said to have been booked to perform in Zimbabwe recently. However, all plans went south after an event promoter failed to secure the necessary clearance and work permit which resulted in the musician getting deported, iHarare reported.

Dr Malinga was said to have been booked to perform at Ngom Primary School in Gwanda. However, the negligent promoter failed to pay attention to detail and overlooked a major part of organising an event for a foreign artist. As a result, Malinga had to exit Zimbabwe and tellS his tale of the story on the other side of the border.

SOUTH AFRICANS REACT TO DR MALINGA’S DEPORTATION

Instead of sympathising with the SA artist, fans rather gave the Zimbabwean authorities a thumbs up for showing South Africa how to handle illegal immigrants.

Lolo Taunyane said, “I love it. They are teaching SAns a thing or two in terms of abiding by the law”.

Alpheus Matsoba said, “South Africa turned itself to be a Mother Teresa of all African continent”.

Al said, “There is a huge market for undocumented migrants in South Africa. Some Businesses prefer cheap labour & control from African migrants at the expense of locals. They can fire them anytime, don’t pay UIF & tax, reduced admin compared to locals. There is general lawlessness in RSA”.

MORE SHAME ON SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT

Tebzangwana said, “I applaud Zim government for that, they are very good at upholding the law and order unlike Here with our Tom and Jerry ANC government”.

Velemseni Vilane said, “Zimbabwe government is doing its job, while the South African government is sleeping. Government can’t stop citizens from leaving the country but can control who’s coming into the country & ensure they meet immigration requirements. Well done to Zimbabwe”.
