In a horrific freak accident on Tuesday, a woman sustained an amputation to her left arm and severe injuries to her pelvis and leg.
A woman was severely injured when her arm got caught in a machine, towed by a tractor on a farm in Letsitele, Limpopo.

ER24 said in a statement paramedics arrived at 10h15 on Tuesday.

“Paramedics found a woman lying near the tractor and towed farming equipment.”
Medics quickly assessed the woman and found that she had sustained an amputation to her left arm, as well as severe injuries to her pelvis and leg.
“The woman was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions.”

It furthermore said once treated, the woman was transported to Mediclinic Tzaneen for urgent care.
“The details surrounding this incident are unknown.”
Meanwhile, the body of a 27-year-old woman was found floating in the water on Saturday near the Van Stadens bridge in the Eastern Cape.
Police are investigating an inquest after a woman’s body was found off Van Staden’s bridge on Saturday.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli police opened an inquest docket following the recovery of a woman’s body off the Van Staden’s bridge near Thornhill on Saturday afternoon.
“On Saturday morning, 11 September 2021 just before 10:00, it is alleged that a passer-by contacted the police after seeing a white Nissan Tiida parked near Van Stadens bridge with no occupants.
“Moments later, the search and rescue teams launched a search operation.”
Nkohli said at about 13:00, the body of a 27-year-old woman was found floating in the water.
