A hilarious video about the national shutdown has made rounds on social media.

The video depicts a meeting between Eskom, the unemployed, the employed, police services, and poverty.

Some of them are for the national shutdown, but some are not.

On the other hand, Eskom says that she doesn’t understand what the national shutdown is all about because the country is on stage One load shedding.

The others say they know how Eskom operates. It will be stage Eight on Tuesday.

However, South African politician Mmusi Maimane condemned South Africans for rejoicing over stage zero load shedding over the weekend.

Maimane said stage zero should be every day.

“Never forget that it’s supposed to be stage zero load shedding everyday. That’s what a functional country does.

“Do not get conditioned into being happy just because things work part time. They are aways supposed to work around the clock,” said Maimane.

MAIMANE TAKES ESKOM AND STATE TO COURT

BuildOneSA leader further said that his party has opened a case against Eskom for load shedding.

“We have decided that we will take Eskom to court along with the state and their responding affidavits have been quite instructive. We are there today in court at the North Gauteng High Court to defend the rights of citizens,” he said.
