The state of Wisconsin is likely to become the ultimate battleground as the last few US Election results pour in – and there may be a glimmer of good news for Joe Biden. Initially tipped to coast home in this state, the Democratic challenger finds himself almost neck-and-neck with Donald Trump.

Latest results from Wisconsin – lead swings between Biden and Trump, as Nevada starts wobbling

The president had been leading in Wisconsin for most of the night. But, with the mail-in ballots being added to the voting totals, it seems the state is considering a swing to the blue side. The ballots from Milwaukee, a Democrat-heavy city in the region, were added to the US Election tallies just a short while ago.

Elsewhere, Donald Trump seems to be making up ground in the usually-blue state of Nevada, closing the gap to just 1% between himself and Joe Biden. Outside of Wisconsin, this area could also play its role as a chief nail-biter.

This lead has since dwindled to just 0.7% for Biden. Hold on to your hats folks, because this six Electoral College votes will mean the world to either candidate.

Biden vs Trump going to the wire

Wisconsin, home to the cities of Green Bay and Milwaukee, is worth 10 votes with the Electoral College. Not only would this be a welcome boost for Biden, but it could prove fatal for the Trump campaign.

However, with just 5-10% of the vote left to count, this race is not won. And most of the districts left to count are traditionally Republican-leaning. However, it’s understood that a majority of the remaining mail-in ballots will be supporting Biden.

US Election: How close is the race in Wisconsin?

CNN has it at 49.3% vs 49.0% in Joe Biden’s favour, with 89% of the vote counted. Meanwhile, DecisionDesk states that the figure is higher, with Biden pushing 50% against Donald Trump, still hovering at 49.0%. However, PoliticalPolls have Tweeted that just 0.07% of the vote separates the challenger from the president, with few votes left to count…
