Residents in Tshwane will have no water supply for an extended time due to emergency repairs on a burst pipe

The City of Tshwane has had to conduct unplanned maintenance to a burst water pipe. The emergency repairs have resulted in interrupted water supply to Raslouw and areas surrounding the Raslouw Private Hospital.

According to the city, estimated completion time for the the repairs to the 450mm burst pipe is still unknown. The City says water has been cut, in order to curb the formation of a sinkhole.

A water tanker has been placed outside the Raslouw Private Hospital. It will also be made available at the corner of Jewel Beetle Street and Lochner Road.

EIGHT-HOUR WATER INTERRUPTION

Meanwhile, the city has announced that parts of the city could possibly experience water interruptions on Wednesday, 21 February.
