The goat was not abused – City of Ekurhuleni

The City of Ekurhuleni has come out to clarify allegations of animal abuse against an official.

A photograph apparently made rounds depicting an official grabbing a goat by its horns at Bunny Park in Benoni.
However, the City refuted the allegations of animal abuse after a fact-finding exercise.

CITY OF EKURHULENI MAKES FINDINGS

“The picture of a City’s official holding a goat by its horn making the rounds on social media is not the true reflection of what transpired at the Bunny Park in Benoni, on Wednesday, 20 July 2022,” said the City.

“In actual fact, the City would like to clarify that the official was assisting a female goat to stand on its limbs after having given birth to triplets.
This was confirmed by the City’s conservation manager during an investigation carried out by the authorities,” the City of Ekurhuleni reported.

“Ordinarily, Bunny Park officials are obligated to assist animals in the park as and when they need support. This was the case with the goat that had given birth to triplets by the boundary wall and needed assistance to be moved to a place of safety to recover and bond with the kids. No animals were abused,”

Furthermore, the City reiterated that all animals at Bunny Park are well fed and cared for.

NOTHING COMPARED TO SHEPHERD MAMBOYI

Well, this is not the case in a village in the Eastern Cape, where a shepherd was found ‘guilty’ of bestiality.

Shepherd mamboyi admitted to having raped a number of goats in his community that eventually died after the act.

He was confronted by villagers after he was linked to the mysterious death of a goat.

The entire graphic confrontation was captured on camera and leaked on social media.

Mamboyi is now a wanted man for sexually abusing animals.
