Watch as a tornado leaves a trail of destruction in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday. It is believed two people were injured.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested three more suspects in connection with the escape of Thabo Bester, taking the total number of suspects arrested for the matter to 12.

More than 50 rhino horns were allegedly stolen from a vault in the North West Parks Board’s Mafikeng Head Office.

Meanwhile, up to 89mm of rainfall has already been recorded in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal. The SA weather service has forecasted heavy rains from Tuesday.

Lastly, Ace Magashule says he was expelled from the ANC because Johann Rupert threatened to withdraw his support for President Ramaphosa.

WATCH: Tornado leaves a trail of DESTRUCTION in KZN

A trail of destruction was left after a TORNADO hit parts of Inanda Valley in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday afternoon.

Videos shared on social media showed the destruction of infrastructural damage for communities.

It is believed two people have been admitted to hospital with minor injuries. Emergency services are still busy on the scene to assist the affected communities.

BREAKING: Three more G4S employees arrested in Thabo Bester case

The South African Police Service (SAPS) arrested three more suspects in connection with the escape of Thabo Bester, taking the total number of suspects arrested for the matter to 12.

The convicted serial rapist and murderer escaped from the G4S-run Mangaung Correctional Centre (MCC) in May 2022, and was re-arrested earlier this year.

National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe confirmed the Bester investigation team had made another breakthrough in the case, on Tuesday afternoon, 27 June.

Over 50 rhino horns stolen from parks board vault – here’s how

More than 50 rhino horns were allegedly stolen from a vault in the North West Parks Board’s Mafikeng Head Office.

Democratic Alliance (DA) MPs, Dave Bryant and Hannah Shameema Walker, said the robbers allegedly used vault keys to access the 51 rhino horns, evading all security measures in place while doing so.

“After being called, SAPS allegedly took eight hours to arrive at the scene, delaying any immediate stop and search operations.

Magashule blames Johann Rupert for his expulsion from the ANC

Former African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Ace Magashule has accused wealthy businessman Johan Rupert of being behind his expulsion from the ruling party.

The party’s National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) confirmed Magashule’s expulsion from the political party on Monday, 12 June.

Magashule was found guilty of bringing the party into disrepute after he attempted to suspend President Cyril Ramaphosa illegally in May 2021. He also failed to abide by an official instruction to apologise for the attempt.
