According to reports on social media his daughter Kirsty confirmed the shocking news.

Last month he opened up about his cancer battle and said he will NOT be returning to the show.

The 74-year-old Derek also revealed that he kept his cancer diagnosis secret for more than a year before being admitted to the hospital earlier this year. He was hospitalised with severe sepsis.
