Here’s how much more you’ll pay for fuel and diesel on Wednesday after the latest announcement of the INCREASES.

In other news, the EFF leader Julius Malema has hit back at South African-born billionaire Elon Musk, who called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to take action against Malema after they sang the song “Kill the Boer” at the party’s birthday celebrations on Saturday.

The eight police officers linked to deputy president Paul Mashatile’s VIP protection Unit have been granted bail by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court. The officers are facing 12 charges resulting from an assault that occurred on the N1 highway in Johannesburg.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has announced two new security features that you should know of. 

Lastly, residents of Limpopo have up until midnight to stock up on alcohol following the announcement of a curfew by the provincial government. From 1 August, the sale of alcohol in the province will be prohibited after midnight.

Big FUEL price INCREASE to hit on Wednesday

A big fuel increase will come into effect on Wednesday.

Motorists are urged to fill up before major fuel price hikes are implemented by midnight on Tuesday.

This comes as the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy announced the latest increases.

EFF leader defends “Kill the Boer” song after Musk’s condemnation

The EFF leader Julius Malema has hit back at South African-born billionaire Elon Musk, who called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to take action against Malema after they sang the song “Kill the Boer” at the party’s birthday celebrations on Saturday.

Malema clapped back at Musk, suggesting he was talking nonsense.

Highway Assault: Officers granted R10 000 bail

The eight police officers linked to deputy president Paul Mashatile’s VIP protection Unit have been granted bail by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court. The officers are facing 12 charges resulting from an assault which occurred on the N1 highway in Johannesburg.

Each of the the eight officers has been granted bail of R10 000 with Magistrate Hleziphi Mkhasibe saying the state has made a weak and frail case, which was added to the roll prematurely.
