Dozens dead after suspected gas leak in Boksburg informal settlement

At least 24 people died in the Angelo informal settlement near Boksburg, Gauteng, on Wednesday, 5 July, from suspected gas inhalation.

Initial reports indicated that another explosion had hit the Boksburg area. However, the Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Service (EMS) said upon arrival at approximately 20:00 authorities established that gas had leaked from a canister in one of the yards in the informal settlement.

According to VoxWeather forecaster Annette Botha a strong cold front is making its way to South Africa.

“Stong front is expected to slam the Western Cape on Friday with strong with near gale force wind, winds also picking up into. Winds of up to 80km/h are expected.”

These SEVEN rivers in SA contaminated with CHOLERA

These SEVEN rivers in South Africa are contaminated with CHOLERA.

The civil rights organisation AfriForum has carried out several water tests in the Vaal River and elsewhere in the past month after earlier tests in this river tested positive for cholera.

“Water samples were taken from towns along the Vaal River, while a sample was also taken in the river system. Dozens of people make use of this river’s water daily.”

VIP Unit Assault: Is Deputy President Paul Mashatile lying?

The SAPS VIP Protection Unit assault saga continues to rope in Deputy President, Paul Mashatile, although denying his presence.

However, ActionSA is under the impression that Deputy President, Paul Mashatile is lying.

In a statement, ActionSA claimed that Paul Mashatile has been caught lying in a statement where he said he was not present when members of his SAPS VIP Protection Unit assaulted three South Africans, with multiple reports now saying that the unit was escorting him home.
