SASSA November payment dates

SASSA grant beneficiaries are reminded that their gold cards will remain valid well past 31 December deadline.

Beneficiaries of the South African Social Security Agency(SASSA) can expect to receive their funds as early as next week Thursday.

As of last month, beneficiaries received a R10 increase to their grants and can expect the new amounts to continue.

The agency is currently processing payments of the R350 Covid social relief of distress grant, which will continue until Tuesday, 31 October.

The new payment cycle, will then begin soon after with November grant payments will be paid out on the following dates:

  • Older person’s– Thursday 2 November
  • Disability– Friday 3 November
  • Child Grant- Monday 6 November

EXTENSION ON EXPIRED GOLD CARDS

On Tuesday Postbank announced the extension on the validity of around 5million SASSA gold cards which were set to expire at the end of the year.

Of the key announcement made by the state bank was that it is the only bank mandated to issue SASSA gold cards.

Spokesperson Bongani Diako, urged beneficiaries to disregard any misleading information directing beneficiaries to change their cards.

“We reiterate that beneficiaries using SASSA Gold cards can rest assured that their grants will be paid in their expired Gold Cards in December 2023 and all the subsequent months” expressed Diako.
