SASSA Grant: ALL the payment dates for December

The South African Social Security Service (SASSA) is in charge of administering more than 18 million social grants to various South Africans.

If you are one of the social grant recipients, then one of the first questions you’ll have is which date your grant is to be paid on.

Here are ALL the grant payment dates for December 2023, including the Older Persons (Pensioners) grant and the Disability Grant.

SASSA: The Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant

The Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant is meant for those of retirement age, and paid out once per month to qualifying recipients.

If you receive the Older Persons or Pensioners grant, expect your payment on the following date: Friday, 1 December

SASSA: The Disability Grant

The Disability Grant is meant for recipients who are unemployed or incapacitated due to disability.

All Disability Grant payments are expected on Monday, 4 December.

If you don’t receive your grant on the correct date, contact them directly or appeal a potential rejection.

Other Grants

All other grants, including the R350 SRD grant, will be paid on Tuesday, 5 December.

If you have not received your grant by this date, you are advised to contact the social security hotline number for more information.
