COMPANY ADDRESSES AND TAKES STEPS

The ridiculed logistics company, VALUE, responded to the incident.
This was the company’s response:

“Good day, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are investigating this incident and will take the necessary action to ensure this never happens again. We do not, under ANY circumstances, condone illegal dumping and the parties, involved will be dealt with.

Please note that this vehicle was on hire to another company when this incident took place. I have conducted an investigation and this was brought to the attention of our East London branch a week ago, we have since committed ourselves to cleaning up the refuse where the dumping took place and the 3 individuals that were involved have been terminated from the company. As mentioned, we do not under any circumstances condone this behaviour and take these matters very seriously”.

Although the response was met with appreciation, some onlookers criticised the company for terminating the contract of three individuals involved. Most believe that the implicated individuals were simply following instructions.
