Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has signed with United Arab Emirates side Al Wahda FC despite reports linking him to Kaizer Chiefs.

Mosimane parted ways with Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli after he promoted the team from the second division to top-flight last season.

Pitso will now join Al Wahda along side Kabelo Rangoaga, Musi Matlaba, Kyle Solomon and Maahier Davids.

The four have been part of Mosimane’s technical team for a few years and are expected to assist the South African coach as he seeks a challenge in the UAE league.

Pitso joins UAE side

“Al Wahda Football Club Company announces the completion of contracting procedures with Mr Pitso Mosimane in order to technically lead the first team,” the club said.

Pitso recently parted ways with Saudi Arabian football giantsAl Ahli, a side who had found themselves falling all the way to the country’s second division. The former Al Ahly coach then took up the job last year, as he was attracted by the prospect of bringing the club back to its former glories, and awakening a sleeping giant in the process.

It looks like Pitso is not ready to return to South Africa.
