Peter Edwards was found to have abused his pet labrador Max and reportedly allowed another man, Jonathan Barton, to commit bestiality with his dog.

Edwards was found in possession of a variety of sickening videos and images

While Edwards has been banned from being alone with a dog, he has avoided time behind bars.

A tip-off allowed authorities to examine Edwards’ phone and computer devices. There they found videos showing the abuse Max endured.

Not only did they find the above vile videos, but authorities also found extreme pornography involving animals and child pornography.

Edwards resides in the village of South Perrott, Dorset, in southwest England.

In court, he pleaded guilty to the following:

  • Two offences of sexual intercourse with an animal;
  • One count of encouraging or assisting with the commission of an offence;
  • Three counts of making indecent images of a child and;
  • Three counts of possession extreme pornographic images.

He was sentenced to a community order for three years

Judge Climie sentenced Edwards to a community order for three years. Edwards is also required to complete up to 60 rehabilitation activity days and a three-month curfew between 20:00 and 06:00, reports Daily Mail.

In addition to this, the Judge made an order for five years that Edwards shall not own, possess or look after any dog unless he’s in the company of the dog’s owner.

The judge stated that due to Edwards’ ‘peculiarities’ he would be a highly vulnerable prisoner.

‘You would be subjected not just to taunting but also some degree of violence from other inmates and that would achieve very little in rehabilitating you,”

said Judge Climie.

Edwards has also been placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years. If he is in breach of any of the orders, he will face a starting point of 21 months behind bars.

Max was removed from Edwards’ possession and has been rehomed.

What happened to Jonathan Barton?

Barton, Edwards’ friend, was sentenced on 31 August.

Barton admitted to two counts of possessing extreme pornographic images, one count of performing an act of intercourse with an animal and one charge of cause/allow sexual penetration of a person by an animal.

Reports state that the 53-year-old was given a three-year community order. He was sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work and a sexual harm prevention order for five years.
