Newborn baby girl found alive in plastic bag DUMPED in field

The gruesome discovery was made by children who were playing around the sports field on Sunday afternoon.

THE NEWBORN BABY GIRL WAS FOUND ALIVE IN A PLASTIC BAG

According to police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said, the children alerted elders who responded to the call and found the baby girl who was still alive.

CHILDREN MADE THE GRUESOME DISCOVERY

“The elders assisted the baby with first aid, including the safe cutting of the umbilical cord. She was then taken to one of the local hospitals for medical attention.”

police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said.

He said the baby is currently reported to be doing well under the observation of health practitioners.

THIS SHOCKING AND DISTURBING INCIDENT WAS CONDENDEMNED

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, has condemned the inhuman act.

“This month, we are supposed to pride ourselves on the best practices of our women.”

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO COME FORWARD

The discovery of the newborn baby girl in a plastic bag is a shocking and disturbing incident.

The police are appealing to anyone with information about the baby’s mother to come forward.

DESPERATE MOTHERS URGED NOT TO DUMP THEIR BABIES

“Abandonment of infants in South Africa is, unfortunately, a common occurrence.

“Many of these children are left to die, or simply abandoned, in dustbins, open fields, public toilets, or on train tracks,”the Door of Hope organisation said.
