A Mozambican national was fatally shot in a hijacking incident in Parkgate, KwaZulu-Natal on Friday while repairing the car radio

On Friday, 7 April, a hijacking in Parkgate, KwaZulu-Natal resulted in the fatal shooting of a Mozambican national.
Man shot while repairing car radio
The public made multiple calls to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), a local security firm, at approximately 20:33, prompting the Response Officers to take action.
Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a man lying on the side of the road.
Further investigation revealed that the deceased was repairing the radio on the vehicle when three suspects approached him.

The robbers fired three shots and fled the scene in his silver Toyota Hilux double cab bakkie with registration KG 93 VR – GP.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the vehicle owner was present during the shooting.

“Three spent 9mm cartridges were recovered.” the statement by RUSA said.
