Mother STRANGLES newborn BABY

A Durban woman has taken extreme measures to cover up her alleged infidelity by killing her newborn baby.

According to IOL, the 28-year-old woman was arrested after her sister discovered blood in the suspect’s home and questioned her about the baby.

The sister then alerted the police, who made the gruesome discovery in a nearby bush.

According to police, the woman gave birth on Thursday, 17 August, where she then strangled her newborn baby. She was then arrested on Sunday, 20 August.

The police say the woman’s boyfriend allegedly did not father the baby.

The suspect is due to appear in court soon.

The first quarter crime stats recently released by Police Minister Bheki Cele painted a grim picture of the lives of children in South Africa.

In the three months reported between April and June this year, 293 children were murdered. That is the loss of three children’s lives daily.

Meanwhile, 354 escaped death while 1432 were victims of assault with grievous bodily harm.
