Oh how the tables have turned, just a week ago, Kaizer Chiefs‘ R6 million midfielder announced that he was on his way out of Naturena BUT

Kearyn Baccus confirmed that he was done with Amakhosi and will be leaving the club.

This is due to the lack of gametime under Stuart Baxter. He is also unlikely to get much future playing time due to falling behind the pecking order of the Chiefs midfield.

The likes of Cole Alexander, Phathutshedzo Nange, Njabulo Blom and Njabulo Ngcobo (both used as utility players) have all been used as regular starters. Lebogang Manyama is on his way back to full fitness.

However, Baccus got a rare start against Swallows on Sunday after Alexander and Blom were suspended by the PSL.

Covid cases swept throughout the Chiefs camp – giving Baccus an opportunity to finally play under Baxter.

Baccus looked solid in the midfield and will have given Baxter a headache or two after this showing.
