Family: Actor Bradley Olivier died peacefully on Thursday

The family of Binnelanders actor Bradley Olivier announced his passing on Thursday after he was placed on life support earlier this week.

Binnelanders actor Bradley Olivier died peacefully in hospital on Thursday. He is known for his role as Danny Jantjies in the soapie Binnelanders.

His family made the heartbreaking announcement on Thursday, a day after Bradley was placed on life support when he had reached a point where recovery was no longer possible.

THE STATEMENT RELEASED BY HIS FAMILY IS HEARTBREAKING

Here is the statement:

“Dear friends and family of Bradley Terence Olivier.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bradley Terence Olivier. Bradley’s passing was peaceful at Life Flora Hospital Johannesburg today 20 July 2023.
Although Bradley’s life ended before his time the time that he spent in our lives was memorable and filled with joy. Bradley lit up every room he entered with his smile, laugh and incredible personality.

“Having made his television debut on Villa Rosa in 2007, Bradley has been involved an array of different productions, mediums and genres which includes Film, Series, Telenovellas, Soap Operas, Stage and Radio work. A versatile actor, Bradley excels in both drama and comedy effortlessly and commands an audience with his MC work.

“Punctual, professional and an all-round friendly spirit on any set.

“The family extends their gratitude to the Life Flora Hospital and staff. Your compassionate attention and professional care shown to Bradley, the family, and friends during this time has been invaluable.

We remember Bradley for his legacy and the impact he left in all our lives. Bradley will always be within our hearts and the many others that loved him.”

THE FAMILY ARE GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE SUPPORT THEY HAVE RECEIVED

The family furthermore said they are grateful for all the support they have received during this trying time.

“Bradley touched so many lives, words cannot describe how much we will miss him.

“We ask for privacy as the family grieves the tragic loss of a great father, partner, son, brother, and friend. Rest in peace our beloved Bradley.”

This comes after reports of the actor’s death were reportedly confirmed by Human Stark, the producer of Binnelanders, to Kosmos 94.1 News on Tuesday.

THE PRODUCER OF BINNELANDERS REPORTEDLY CONFIRMED THE NEWS TO KOSMOS 94.1 NEWS

It is believed that these reports came in shortly after the news that Bradley had reached a point where recovery was no longer possible.

“Bradley Olivier’s legacy will live on through his body of work, which has touched countless lives and will continue to inspire future generations.

“We kindly request that you celebrate his life by remembering the joy and happiness he brought to the world.”

Bradley is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Xavier in the Moja Love telenovela Hope, the first scripted drama to air on the channel.

He attended the Tshwane University of Technology from 2005-2007. He landed his first screen role in 2007 after winning a nationwide talent search to find new actors for the kykNET soapie Villa Rosa, as the character JJ.
