The six-year-old missing Joshlin Smith from Saldanha bay is still MISSING on Sunday. The Saldanha Bay Municipality is offering an R20 000 reward for any information aiding the police in locating her.
The six-year-old Joshlin Smith went missing from her home in Diazville, Saldanha Bay on Monday. Despite extensive search efforts, she remains unaccounted for.
Mayor André Truter expressed his determination to find Joshlin, confirming that he has raised the reward money.
He also added that the search is still ongoing.
“I want to close off by saying we are not done, we are just starting. We will keep going, keep praying, keep supporting and most of all, we #KeepHopeAlive
“Joslin may still be missing, but our resolve is strong.”
he said.
Police police spokesperson Lt.Col. Malcolm Pojie said the search for the little girl is still ongoing.
Joshlin Smith was reported as missing at Saldanha police station by her mother on Tuesday, 20 February 2024.

“Preliminary information reveals that Joshlin was left at home on Monday, 19 February 2024, with the mother’s boyfriend to look after her as she was not feeling well.
“Later in the afternoon, when the mother returned from work, her daughter was not home.
“She asked about the whereabouts of the child but could not find her. The mother later got hold of her boyfriend, who was supposed to look after the child, but he was unable to account for her whereabouts.”

Pojie said at the time of Joshlin’s disappearance, she wore a light blue t-shirt and light blue denim shorts.
“Following the report by her mother, a full-scale search was initiated. The search comprises of the investigating officer attached to the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS), visible policing members, Disaster Management personnel, and a magnitude of community members.”
Lt.Col Malcolm Pojie said.
He furthermore said the search was postponed and resumed this morning.
