The South Hills tower is currently supplying the area through the tower bypass system. This is due to unstable to no supply from Rand Water. Pumping into the tower will resume once the supply improves. Low-lying areas will receive water but with reduced pressure. High-lying areas will experience poor pressure to no water.

Berea Reservoir and Alexander Park Reservoir are critically low to empty due to poor to no supply from Rand Water. The two reservoirs are currently low to empty due to poor to no supply from Rand Water. The two reservoirs are currently bypassed. Customers will experience poor pressure to no flows.
Crown Gardens: The reservoir remains critically low with minimal gains overnight. The system will be throttled at 20%. Pumping into the towers is ongoing;however, configuration is dependent on the reservoir levels for pumping.
The following systems remain critically low to empty; Doornkop, Parktown, Linksfield, and Eagles Nest reservoirs, as well as the Linden 1 tower. Suburbs fed by these systems will experience poor pressure to no water, said Johannesburg Water.
The Commando system, comprising Brixton, Crobsy, and Hursthill 1 and 2 remains critically low.
